Photography and Videography
This series was created during a trekking journey through the Moroccan Sahara. At the center of the work are not only the vastness and silence of the desert, but the moments in between: walking, waiting, arriving and moving on.
What interested me most was the rhythm of the journey — moving through a reduced landscape, the encounters along the way and the small details that only become visible when everything slows down. The images tell the story of a place that may seem empty at first glance, yet is full of traces, structures and stories.

Cinematic Impressions
Alongside the photographic series, film-based work was also created during the Sahara journey — including an aftermovie and several short Instagram reels.
The videos capture the rhythm of the trip: walking through the desert, quiet moments in camp, encounters along the way and the atmosphere between landscape, movement and community.
One reel was also created for our tour guide and received particularly strong engagement on Instagram. Together with the photo series, the videos expand the project into a multi-layered visual travel story.

Working Approach
The project was photographed and filmed on the move, with a lightweight setup (Fujifilm X-T4 and GFX 50S) and an observational approach to the situations that unfolded during the journey. The focus was not on staging moments, but on capturing them as closely and honestly as possible — between landscape, people and atmosphere.

Use / Publication
Selected images from the Sahara series led to a limited print publication in collaboration with DocuMag. Furthermore the Portrait of a berber was exhibited in the online gallery gridPhotoGallery during the competition "People 2026".
